Cheri is an ATI graduate of the Laboratory Science and Greenhouse Management programs. She joined the Cornish lab in the fall of 2019 and is working with both guayule and Taraxacum in tissue culture. Previously she worked, mainly, with soybean but also with maize, rice, grape and wheat doing tissue culture, gene introduction and molecular analysis. She had been working with Taraxacum, rubber dandelion for several years prior to joining the lab doing gene analysis, collecting phenotypic data, measuring approximate rubber content and doing plant crossing.
